Seems like you can just sneak it with mana ramps at an earlier turn to just get the bonus card drawing.
Not sure if it's also worth to pay, for example, ten mana for X since it has to be attacking too. Shuffling your opponent's deck isn't that good for late game since they could already beat you down with their own creatures.
@sanjaya666 That's a very bizarre card you have there! I like the uniqueness of it, but, due to that fact, it's hard to get a good idea of where it fits. There aren't often enough planeswalkers being run by opponents to warrant running this, but it's possible it could be good out of the board on rare occasions. I dunno; the cost, the name, the art, the amount of text, and the affect are all a bit confusing to me. Nice job making something so unique though!
@temurzoa Biodermis is cool, I like the transplant mechanic a lot. I prefer it to Graft as it's easier to use and you only need to think about it once. The flavour works well too. The card in itself is not particularly powerful but my guess is you chose a simple card to showcase the mechanic. In my opinion it could cost one less, be uncommon and not be overpowered.
@Faiths_Guide, thanks for the feedback. BTW, the name Beast of Burden is a play on words. It is a Beast . . . that embodies burdens. I imagined an aura of torpor surrounding it and making nearby lifeforms crumple from exertion. Oh well.
Anticipation Beacon looks really fun. Maybe it can be condensed to "Whenever another player scrys, surveils, or draws a card except..."? I actually feel like it could be one mana less. Either that or another ability like "Shuffle Anticipation Beacon into your library: Draw a card." That would be nice against decks it is dead against. Hope some of these ideas I have spewed out are useful!
@Faiths_Guide, Column familiar would be worded as such: "Whenever you surveil, until end of turn, Column Familiar may attack as though it didn't have defender." How about these three bois: EDOOT: Intended for Commander
@Skrypt This is an interesting card, but for the most part, it seems like a great risk, being that you might exile a powerful non instant or sorcery. What I would do is allow them to cast the I/S for that much or let them shuffle cards exiled this way back into their library. That would probably make it rare though.
@Mrbobblehead & @Skyrpt You may not be aware, this is the "Actually see what others think" discussion I started. The rules are that you must either leave a fave or comment on the card preceding yours when you post it. We're trying to keep this discussion as clear as possible so that people have the simplest time knowing what to comment/fave when they post their own card for critique.
The "rules change" is to allow people to post up to two cards for review, and the next to comment may choose one of them (or both) that they'd like to comment on and/or favorite then leave up to two of their own for the next person and so on.
If you elect to post two cards, please remind everyone that they may like or fave either or both. It isn't necessary to address both posted cards.
Sorry for the interrupt (I know those are outdated).
Alright Smiths!
This is a somewhat unique discussion page (this is a function reminder), look at Page One for more clarification.
To post a card (or cards) for others to look at in this thread, first leave a FAVE or COMMENT on at least one of the cards preceding your own. The next person will do the same. In this way, almost every card that gets displayed here will have some form of feedback.
@Ranshi922, Devoid seems a bit out of place, but I get the gist of all the color and happiness being sucked out of the card. Aside from that, the card is very powerful and breaks a lot of the color pie. This card should most definitely be 5BB (or more.)
This was designed with EDH in mind, I feel like it's slow enough to avoid being to ridiculous whilst still being able to generate a decent amount of value. The closest cards I can think of off the top of my head would be Gyrus, Waker of Corpses, Muldrotha, the Gravetide, and Marath, Will of the Wild for reference. I think mana cost could certainly be upped to 4-5 if it's a little to good or I could change the counters to spore counters from of +1/+1 counters, but I'm not entirely sure.
What would you change, if anything? How would you simplify the wording on the second ability? And lastly, does this look fun to play?
Honestly, the biggest vibe I get from this is Mimeoplasm, since it wants you to stock your grave and ramp in a similar way. You'll need to be careful who you'll play this around because you're in ideal protection colors and that first ability alone can equal voltron with just a little support. I'd recommend changing the counters to, like you said, spore counters, or a new type of counter, like age counters maybe, and make it a 3/6 to compensate for the lack of growing.
I'm in the camp of while it'd have its "oh yes here we go" moments, (especially when paired with delve for efficient spellcasting) more often than not it'll probably get you hated off the table. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who likes to play out grindy games though.
Next up: A transforming card inspired by me wanting to make a mono red werewolves and vampires deck.
@Lujikul, I really like the idea and I think it is expressed beautifully and with much professionalism! I would only suggest that you put a flavor line in between the ruling text and flavor text. (Underscores right under the ruling, with a empty line in between the line and the flavor)

Yup, the X is seemingly worthless.

This is simply from a flavor perspective, but I don't think that pyromancers do 'undercover' very well!

It's somber, I know, but what do you think of the effect. (Feel free to disregard all symbolism and allegory.)

P.S. @Mrbobblehead, I was intentionally using Gargoyle wording (Example 1 Example 2), where defender is lost for a turn. If you have additional comments, please leave them on the card page.

I like it, just remember the t in thought in the flavor text is lowercase.
