Phyrexian Perfection

  • I really enjoyed the puzzle mode, as you get put in situations that would only happen if your opponent was completely toying with you. You need turn around everything then in a single turn usually. One of them I remember being really annoyed as the answer required you play gamble, to look for Grimgrin and the correct card had to go to the graveyard, grimgrin. Anything else went, you had to reset it. I accidentally lost these to clicking the wrong button,or doing bad math but having some random factor that I had nothing do with just made it worse.
  • Oh my... I love magic things that aren't just the card game.
  • Okay! I've made it in time to judge. Forwarning though - If you answer as to what you want to be Favorited after tomorrow (Friday), then I'm sorry to say, but I'l be a week late on getting to yah. Gonna be heading to Vegas on a youth trip.
But anywho! I'm glad to say I actually have to think here on who's winning. So let's see...

    1st - @Bnew07 - image

In any other challenge I'm unsure how this card would fair, but in a phyrexian basis, it's darn near perfect. It encapsulates what would happen if a dragon was infected, and with the bonus of a fitting ability. I love it all. You earned 1st place for sure lad.

I'll say you defiantly made things 10x harder to judge with this baby. It's got lovely flavor text, a good choice of picture, and shows of the abilitys of the Gitaxians. All around, a lovely acard. The only thing that knocked it down, was Bnew's usage of a new ability. Otherwise, it's perfect in more ways than one.

This I think is the 3rd time this card has hopped into a challenge and knocked itself up dude, and I can see why. It's got a really nice mechanic, flavorful flavor text, really a great card all around. I think the only reason that it didn't fly higher here, though the flavor text mentions Norn my second lady, it doesn't feel as phyrexian as others here. I can't describe it, but it is still an amazing card.

    Honorable mentions - @Lujikul - image

I like the concept and the ability, and I love how it has infect in white, don't get me wrong. I have to say personally though, it feels a bit... much, power wise, though at the same time a tad bland. Another ability on there, custom maybe, and it'd be pure gold. Good card all around though, don't get me wrong,

And to all here, good jobs to all of you, you all did lovely! If you have any base ideas for challenges I could make or such, lemme know, and I may expand upon them. Nonetheless, I'll see you all soon I hope!
  • There you two go! Enjoy!

    @Sorinjace
Happy to here you enjoyed it, hehe. Ima try to think of some more fun ones, don't yah worry.
  • Can't wait for your next contest @Shadow29870!
  • @Sorinjace
Ditto. Just uh, dunno what it'll be.
  • I have an idea @Shadow29870, you could probably make another contest around artifacts but a different twist on them. How about making them with custom abilities found in the mechanics encyclopedia? It will give you an excuse to peruse the encyclopedia, and possibly come up with a new mechanic of your own to add to it, and maybe your contest can feature your mechanic and some other ones you hand picked from the mechanics encyclopedia that will be apart of your contest? something that you think could work with artifacts? just a suggestion, if you want to keep going with artifacts in your contests.
  • Maybe, maybe. I'll tag that into my google doc for later. But as you typed that I made...

He's not doing anything new strictly speaking, but he's using phyrexian mana in a new way that hasn't been done before I don't think. Hope that's okay.
  • @Undead
Though the contest is over, I think that would have made a pretty good contender nonetheless. Sorry to say you're late though.
  • Whoops! Didn't realise.
  • @Undead

    It's all good lad
