(Taps microphone. Is this thing on? Cool. As an initial heads up, I don't wanna struggle to try to figure out the card image formatting for this particular post so mentioned cards will be links only. No offense. You all did very well.)
First off, a huge thanks to everyone who's participated! This particular challenge was a blast to see what people made, and proved itself to be an incredibly difficult one to judge, with so many good entries! We- I mean, me, did finally get it narrowed down to three victors though, though only after lots of thinking and comparing. But with that said, it's time to get down to the nitty gritty: Who's our victors?
First off, in third place, is Temple of Madness by @shadow123
This is an elegant, yet simple design, showing how executing something well doesn't always have to be complex. Shadow123, please DM me the card you'd like a favorite on and your choice of an honorable mention from the entries in this thread.
In second place is a design that pokes its way out of the color pie a little bit. (Which, by the way, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many entries did this.) This is Phrenic Muse by @DomriKade
This entry plays very nicely within its own colors and the use of Hellbent to synergize with the first ability is, and I think we can all agree, something that satisfies the Melvin in us all. Domrikade, please DM me with the cards you'd like favorites on and your choice of an honorable mention from the entries in this thread.
And now, the one we've all been waiting for... Someone, turn on the dramatic music
In first place, and overall winner of All Bent Up! is...
A vanilla 3/3 for three isn't bad, but I think we can all agree it could always be better than just that. Clearly MemoryHead agrees, and makes going hellbent a huge incentive with this card that can quickly grow into a powerhouse because of it! It may be very powerful, but gosh golly is that a lot of investment for it. MemoryHead, pleas DM me the cards you'd like favorites on and your choice of honorable mention.
Thank you again everybody who participated, and for checking out the thread even if you didn't! Honorable mentions will be announced as I hear of them. Everyone have a wonderful day!
Also, due to the high quantity of quality entries, over the course of the next week, I will personally be going from entry to entry to leave my own personal feedback on them. Be sure to keep an eye out, and good job everybody!
Yay!! I’m really happy about this @Lujikul! This was a very fun contest, and I enjoyed making both cards a lot (even if my second entry is very powerful). I will DM you with my honorable mention choice and my favorite choice!
