@Faiths_Guide Chainbreaker Hellkite works perfectly as an enchantress/prison hate card but it might be able to be slightly stronger p/t-wise given the cost.
Vorsseph, Head Instructor looks good, but only copying each ability for the first time each turn for a slightly lower CMC might make it a little less prone to infinite combos.
Is this powerful enough without being busted given it's color restriction? Does this feel "black" enough? I'm planning on making a cycle of these and feedback would certainly help.
I completely forgot how so whenever I want to I just dumpster dive my previous comments looking for the most recent one so I can copy and paste the code stuff.
This is a bunch of random legendary critters. Yes, I know Azula is busted. SOOOO busted. Elaine is the adopted sister of TenebrisNemo's character from the original Tournament of Champions, Tiamat. The name is a coincidence. EDIT: Oops, forgot to add the link. https://mtgcardsmith.com/account/sets/29412
@Faiths_Guide: A. Fits your name beautifully. B. Clever, as it makes it a lot harder to pull off combos. @Quacumque Excellent combo with whatshisname demon boi. Otherwise, feels bad as walkers are usually wincons. Also, Memnite is Barren Automaton without the drawback. Maybe a 2/2?
@Ranshi922, the concept for Eowyn is there and it is a good one, and with it being from Kaladesh I'll give it a pass on the color pie. However, the balance is to be addressed. Even without the anthem, it comes down as a 3/6 hasty trampler, and if played onto a board with even one player that can't block, turns into a 4/7.
I PM'd the smiths that have been the most helpful to me in the past, but anyone is welcome to try and answer this question in the card comment section.
Does this work?
A assumed the same rule as old Thalia applied: To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
@Jarnefeldt Nice ability but maybe it should be white card? Black is the color you want to put creatures from graveyards.
@Temurzoa Nice cycle. I like green one the most. Blue one might be a bit too good. I think it should be "draw a card, then discard a card" or "scry 2". Black one is very dangerous too. Usually that ability has "Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery." Otherwise you can activate it right before an opponent's precombat main phase. If they have no cards in hand, the game becomes very unfair.
@TheGamingBolasChannel Your link doesn't work but I found this. https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/tymaria-distorted-queen-1 Shouldn't they be merfolk? I don't know how much tribal support they can get, so I can't exactly know how powerful they can be. Either way, I think 4/5, 3/3, 5/7 are big for mermaids(or merfolks) The flip side doesn't say when you sacrifice tokens. Maybe "When this creature transforms into Tymaria, Distorted Queen, sacrifice all .."? And I'm not sure the last ability's wording is correct or not. I've never seen that ability in real cards. I think the type should be Eldrazi Merfolk. Creatures don't mutate into Slivers. Distorted Queen has three black abilities. I think the front side should have {b} in its mana cost.
@Damnation Abilities are flavorful. I think card power is ok, but toughness 6 might be a little too big, because creatures get -2/-0 when they try to kill this creature. I imagine mono black when I hear "despair", so that mana cost feels a little weird to me. If that was my card, I would replace vigilance with deathtouch or menace, and make the mana cost {3}{w}{b}.

Both part of a set I am working on.
I've created a less draft-warping "Llanowar Elves"
Still at common. Where's WotC's?
Trostani's Purifier
Illusory Hydromancer
Ceasless Vigil
Battle at the Dungeon's Edge
Lightning Brute
