@fire12 I like the idea but its a bit overpowered for its mana cost. Maybe make it a 7 cost? You are scrying your entire deck and doing that turn 1 or 2 is just too overpowered. Great originality though!
@v_OozeNinja_v You need to put Reveal or Look instead of Draw. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense.
"Gruthum spells you cast cost {1} less to cast.
{b}, {t}: Look at the top card of your library. If it is a Gruthum card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Otherwise, put it into your graveyard. You lose 3 life."
Also, since it is only useful for a Gruthum deck, I would make it 3 mana.
This is a bit of a mess, so here's a version simplified as best as I can.
Whenever Gaddian Ton, Master Admiral attacks, each attacking Vehicle you control get +X/+X until end of turn, where X is that Vehicle's power.
Whenever Gaddian Ton crews a Vehicle, other Pirates you control get +X/+X until end of turn, where X is that Vehicle's power.
I'm not really sure how to feel about this. It tries to promote two different play styles but not both at once - Vehicle tribal and Pirate tribal. But in order for you to effectively run Pirate tribal with Gaddian, you need to run a bevy of Vehicles to buff your Pirates, but oddly enough not the reverse if you want to do Vehicle tribal with him. __________
I haven't created a card in a while, so here's what's next. Some of you may have seen this on the official Discord server, as a side note.
@Damnation I want to critique Grabalfrais by saying it's overpowered ... but it's really not? So I can't? I mean it's 8 CMC, and it's a mythic, it's "only" a 4/4, and it's not like it has doublestrike... but destroy target permanent? That's huge, but then again, Grabalfrais has to deal damage to make that happen ... but not damage to the player, just any damage, including on a chump blocker? But it's 8CMC. I dunno how to make this more balanced, because it probably is, but it just seems crazy broken. But again, it's mythic, so that's okay.
You broke my brain, so I just favorited it and that's all I can say, lol!
Here's mine. I want a better Mono-white Commander with card draw, so I made a flying version of Mentor of the Meek. Thoughts?
@joemamajoe Night stampede is a little bit underpowered. Maybe make it 2 black? As for unreliable, well, I'm an unreliable source to be commenting on this, but it seems like it should be an instant. Favorited anyways. Here's my card:
@CassZero, much too strong! and the formatting is weird. Why the Mirran symbol and why the last ability? The last ability doesn't go with the flavor of the card. I suggest the the second paragraph be 7 or greater and the mana cost by 3BB. And no last ability or change the last ability to work with the card.\
Hmmmmmm... Last strike is sliver-bordered so I like how you changed it into a black-bordered mechanic too. Only complaint is maybe it should have defender? Anyway, Nice work @CassZero!
@fire12 It should just be "basic land" instead of "basic land card" and the first "and" in the sentence isn't needed. Next is "Then if 'you' do not..." Because the forgot the word "you". Besides the grammar errors its a great card. Nice work!
@joemamajoe Diabolic Exchange seems a little bit too good in Commander, albeit unplayable in any other format. I'd make it a sorcery, just because of the potency.
For Baked into a Cake, regenerate isn't used anymore except for Reprints, and the mechanic is never coming back. In addition, preventing regeneration hasn't been in White's color pie for a long time, and isn't featured on any non-old White cards, so dropping the part about Regeneration would do good, even if it ruins the fact that it's a homage to Afterlife. In addition, the flavor text could do with being a little more subtle and formal, like "Well, if it isn't my dear old friend. Come, sit down. We'd love to have you for dessert." The effect itself could also be considered a color pie break, as modern White removal is never as simple as destroying only creatures for so cheap regardless of what that creature is doing, but that's more of a nitpick.
@Potato13 Speckcharmer seems like it could be a big hinderance to a token deck. I would make it cost a bit more. Maybe make it 3 or 4 mana? Just a thought. Also, it looks like you included someones name in the artwork, or whatever that is in the bottom right corner. Here's my card:
@fire12 Feels awfully weak for a Demonlord; almost every creature can kill it when it blocks/becomes blocked. The last effect also feels very red instead of black. I would suggest increasing p/t a lot and remove the last ability unless you put Rakdos colors on this creature.
This is a song. It is a mechanic I made that is supposed to be a flavorful way to make things like sags more flexible. Each mode represents a movement in the piece. Check the comments for more information about my songs!
