Top-Deckcember 3: Tokyo Drift

Well, well, well!

It's that time of year again... It's time for Top-Deckcember! Special thanks to @Frostbvrn for letting me host this year! For those who have participated in the past, this is just like last year. For those who haven't, here's how this event works. This is a challenge, not a contest, so there is no competition for who makes the best card. Each day in December, you will create a card based on the prompt for that day. Sometimes it is to make a specific type of card, others require a specific theme. You can interpret these prompts in any way you like, so you have a lot of creativity with these. If you miss any number of days, don't worry, there isn't any penalty for missing a day, so you are free to create a card for as many days as you'd like.

For now, I have shared only the prompt for the 1st below, but when I wake up on the 1st, I will post the whole list of prompts for the month. You can make the cards for these prompts whenever you'd like, but I would request that you wait on posting cards for specific prompts until the day of that prompt. This way, everyone will be posting their card for the first prompt on the 1st, their card for the second prompt on the 2nd, and so on, so forth. Lastly, when you post your card, I also request that you add the MTGCS card link in addition to the card image. This way, I can easily create a set to display everyone's creations at the end of the month. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Prompts:

1st - Take two mechanics made by other cardsmiths, and mix them in an interesting way. (I suggest sharing a short list of a few mechanics you’ve made before december 1st so other cardsmiths don’t need to spend a long while looking for mechanics made by others. I will share a few mechanics of my own sometime tomorrow, November 28th)
2nd - Conspiracy, Scheme, or Planechase card
3rd - Ocean
4th - Land
5th - Sky
6th - Space
7th - Tribal card for a creature type that doesn’t currently have tribal synergies
8th - Rainbow
9th - Common Non-legendary companion
10th - Steampunk
11th - Silver-border card
12th - Time
13th - Music
14th - Spell that can’t be cast with mana
15th - Card inspired by your favorite existing card
16th - D O G
17th - Trap card
18th - A mechanic used in colors it hasn’t been used in before
19th - Stealthy
20th - A card that makes you secretly choose something. (Examples: https://scryfall.com)
21st - Videogame/tv character or item
22nd - Polar Opposites
23rd - Chaos
24th - Meme version of an existing card
25th - Celebration/Relaxation
26th - Appreciate your least favorite color
27th - Non-creature commander
28th - Card that can change it's wording (Ex: Cleave cards)
29th - Card that you can reveal from your hand for an effect
30th - Kindness
31st - Celebration (again!)

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I planned on posting my mechanics after I got back to college, but I forgot after unpacking my stuff.

Sink - If three or more cards have left your library this turn, [effect].
Cosmic (This enters the battlefield phased out.)*
Manaweave - If [Color] mana was spent to cast this, [effect].
Dazzling - If mana produced by an artifact was spent to cast this, [effect].
Forgotten - {Cost}, Exile [Cardname] from your graveyard: [effect].
Harbor (Your harbor is a separate face-up library.)*
Haul 1 (Look at the top card of your library. Put that card on the top or bottom of your harbor.)*

I do have a few others, but these are the ones I have created and would probably still use.

With cosmic, etb effects won't trigger. If you want an etb-like effect, make it a cast effect instead.
Harbor is a face-up zone that is empty at the beginning of the game, similar to your graveyard. If there is at least one or more cards in it, you may interact with it as if it was your library.
If you want to Haul more than one, use this: Haul X (Look at the top X cards of your library. put any number of them on the bottom of your harbor and the rest on top of your harbor in any order.)

Deathgaze (Whenever this creature blocks or becomes blocked by a creature without deathgaze, flip a coin. If you win the flip, destroy that creature.)

Elder (Whenever this creature deals damage to another creature, put a bite counter on that creature. It becomes a Vampire in addition to its other types.)

Voidtouch (Whenever this creature deals damage to a creature, exile that creature.)

Voidtouch (Whenever this creature deals damage to a creature, exile that creature until this creature leaves the battlefield.)

Dismember (Whenever this creature becomes blocked by a creature, put a -1/-1 counter on that creature and create a 0/1 colorless Appendage creature token.)

Barter [Cost] ([Cost]: Create a colorless Clue artifact token with "{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card." Target opponent creates two colorless Treasure artifact tokens with "{t}, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color." You and that opponent may exchange control of these tokens.)
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is followed by an effect if you and your opponent exchange tokens.

Dismember [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature and create a 0/1 colorless Appendage creature token.)

Dominance (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with power 3 or less.)

Bloodcraze N (Whenever this creature attacks, it gets +N/+N until end of turn for each creature defending player controls that was dealt damage this turn.)

Instigate <cost> (At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may pay <cost>. If you do, this creature must be blocked this turn if able.)

Precede N (When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card with mana value N or less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom of your library in a random order.)

Mystic <cost> (Reveal the top card of your library: You may cast this spell by putting the revealed card into your graveyard and paying the Mystic cost reduced by that card's converted mana cost.)

Illustrate <cost> (<cost>, Exile this card from your graveyard: Create a blue Illusion token with this card's name and "{t}, Sacrifice this Illusion: Scry 1.")

Ravaging (This creature can deal excess combat damage to other target creatures under the control of the player it's attacking.)

@Tomigon Nice card! I did ask for cards to be posted on the day of or after the day of that prompt, so this is a day early, but don't worry about it, I'm not gonna be strict about anything. But for future cards, I ask that you wait to post your cards until the day of the prompt.

I will post the prompts for the rest of the prompts tomorrow. Depending on if my roommate is awake at 12AM tonight, I might post it at midnight. If not, I'll post them when I wake up. I'm pretty excited to share them, and I'm curious about how everyone will tackle some of them.

Day 1: Mixing mechanics made by two other cardsmiths.

Ok so I decided to have a little bit of fun with this, @Corwinnn & @feralitator , I hope you guys are proud.

One hero, two fates:

In the first entry we see a future where Aral won against the cosmic enemies of the abyss of Theros and was crowned the Cosmic Guardian.

In the second entry we see a version where he failed but his patron never forsook him. While tainted by undeath, he still fights evil. If evil was everything that moves that is.

Ok I might be going a little crazy for the challenges, but my new set has me hyped. Here is a different destiny set version of a scheme that goes two ways (The enchantments are outcomes, the conspiracies are the submissions).

In the first, our hero strikes an unfair deal with a mighty patron and is converted into a herald, and in the other she slays them and they are cursed to bear their will forever.

I participated in the last two years so I'm really happy it's back, I haven't been active on Cardsmith (or the forums) in the past months, but for this one I'll make a comeback. Really looking forward to how this turns out!

Apologies that I haven't been able to keep up with this myself. I have been trying to focus on completing assignments, and I've been hanging out with my friends this weekend, so I haven't had too much time to think about cards for this. My winter break starts very soon, so I'll be able to catch up once I'm done with school for the semester.
