The consciousness of the soldier can be sensed by Latexmind however it gives hint hostility, which warns it that it is armed. Because of being near-straved, Latexmind prefer to take easy prey before taking a tough prey down. Latexmind will try to track the alien form.
Latexmind continues tracking the Alien form through the vents, constantly taking twists and turns as it constantly evades your grasping arms and limbs. Eventually, the consciousness begins to fade from your range, and you become lost in the linking and interchanging vent systems as the alien lifeform disappears from your psychic vision. But. As you continue your search, another consciousness comes into view of your sensors. A far more intelligent mind. And it seems to be coming closer. Fast, and seemingly with hostile intent. @Mellow_MC Originally, Latexmind would move on and look for a host to take on. However, it spent too much energy to hunt the alien form. Hence, it have to consume the hostile host instead. Latexmind will leak from the vent to see the prey. Intents to jump on the prey from the above when they gets under the vent where Latexmind is leaking from. (I don't want to go into detail about what will the Latexmind do to the victim, if it successfully lands on them. Flood from Halo is already enough gore but merciful most of time. The Latex is more cruelty than the Flood.)
Since it doesn't seems that the other person will wake up, Panos goes further into the ship to a spot that was marked on the map, which he thinks he can decipher as ‘IT Core’...
"This is fun! Its like hide and seek!" IT thought while it was crawling and jumping through the ventilation shafts, running away from that other creature. Maybe IT had a bit overreacted as ITs insticts had kicked in, because on second thought, that other creature didnt seem that dangerous. And then IT realized that it still carried that strange round thing it had found (helmet). IT looked at the helmet, not sure what that thing could be. Maybe making it alive would help? So IT used its special Slime to cover the helmet and soon the helmets structure changed. Small metallic arms and legs formed and the helmet began to move on its own. IT tried to communicate with the helmet, but either that thing was really stupid or didnt have to say anything. The helmet would just walk around slowly or roll on the ground until it bounced off a wall. Then IT remembered some old wisdom IT had heard a long time ago "When it cant talk, its food". And so IT grabbed the helmet and startet to chew on it. The metall and plastic the helmet was made of was really delicious and after a while IT had devoured the whole helmet.
This place was really nice, IT thought. There was everything here! Other creatures to play hide and seek with, strange lights and sounds, food and a lot of unknown fascinating things that were just waiting to be discovered!

Or, Hyper Intelligent Artificial Helper! You can call me H though! I am at your service!" The orb floats up from your hands and seems to be staring at you expectantly.
@Mellow_MC Because Latexmind being lifeless allows it to take the vemon attack and not dies by it. However, as Experimental Horror bites into the mass of Latexmind, the mass tights up, preventing Experimental Horror letting it go. Latexmind would have some of its mass grasp onto both claws then tries to spread upon the victim. The Latexmind, sensing that it is alone with the creature, will attempt to take control of the heart to force the creature into relaxation state.
(Lifeless takes all damage from single source that would deal damage to Latexmind then put an exhaustion counter on it. That way, it doesn't take deathtouch damage.)
As The Latexmind spreads over the Experimental Horror, you sense it beginning to slip into a state of desperation as it claws at the mass of organic matter spreading over it, desperately trying to stab through with it's poison stinger. But the struggle is futile and you sooth it into a calm state by taking control of it's primitive mind and soothing it. It stops its struggle and lays in the vent. As these events are currently unfolding, the engine that IT accidentally set off begins to sputter. This ship is extremely old and hasn't seen use in a long time. The engine slowly begins to heat as the ancient metal creaks and begins to melt. You all have until the end of today until the engine explodes. What would you like to do in this situation?

The prey took about 10 minutes to produce new mind then Latexmind finally consume it to satisfie its hunger and got energy back. Sensing that the spaceship begins fail, it will search for escapeship or something similar as that.
(This progress rips Experimental Horror out of its body, so the body is just an empty shell and ready for Latexmind to make a home in it.)

As for getting off the ship...You could use the pods located in pod launchers A, B, C, D, E, F, or G! The rate of survival is around 12.34%, as the pods have been unused for over 2,000 years! That's right Mr. Panos! You have been on this ship for over 2,000 years!"

Just as the launch sequence is about to begin, the pod powers down, seemingly due to a malfunction from age and lack of maintenance. All other pods in this ship are in similar states. Your only option is to somehow fix or turn off the 5th engine.
@Mellow_MC Panos asks H.I.A.H. if he could reach the massive planet with one of these pods and if H.I.A.H. is bound to this room or the ship or if H.I.A.H. can come with him. After that Panos would go to pod launcher F but halfway remembers the other person in the cyro freeze chamber (@jpastor) who would die if everything explodes so he goes back to the cyros and would carry Draya with him to the pod launcher F.

With these information can help Latexmind to fix the engine straightly. Otherwise, it will turn the engine off then launch the escapeship with a risk.
IT heard strange metallic sounds and felt that it was getting warmer in here. How pleaseant! IT liked heat very much and so IT made its way towards the source of the heat. The screaming, screaching and creaking metall was leading the way. IT followed the heat until IT stood before a very large mechanical thing that was radiating the warmth und had already turned the metall orange and some of the lighter metall was already molten! IT laughed and rolled through the molten metall, bathing in it and enjoying the heat. This place was fantastic! IT wondered who couldve created such a wonderful place. While IT was drinking some of the molten metall, it thought, that this place IT had discovered was just perfect!

@Mellow_MC The Latexmind could sense artificial intelligence, but it cannot detect robot's mind as these do not have mind. In another word, if HIAH doesn't have its own mind, then it is invisible to The Latexmind.
Because Latexmind's hunger been satisfied, the alien form that hit onto the wall doesn't trigger its predatory instinct. It will say in a distorted voice to the alien form; "Alien form... If you desire to stay alive... Perhaps it is better to follow me after all... Ship seems unstable and could... Break into pieces and killing us in... Progress." It seems after consuming a lifeform, The Latexmind's speech improved a little.
Whether should IT follows Latexmind, it do not care as all it care is fix the ship or in any way to escape the ship before it completely breaks down.
