Welcome to the Tower
Are you ready to climb to the top?
There are simple rules here to understand.
To enter the Tower at any time, post any 5 cards you've made.
You can swap out any of your 5 cards at any time.
To climb the Tower, challenge anyone within 5 ranks or 500 rating above or below you at any time by tagging them and selecting one of your cards.
For the match, I will choose 1 of their 5 cards at random unless they reply to your challenge with their choice before me.
The cards will get a match score. (e.g. 20-10)
Based on the match score, your competitive ratings will change.
Leaderboard rankings are based entirely on Rating.

@FireofGolden - thanks for entering
No problem! I would like to present Plain Stickman and see what happens.

I will send forward Iridian the Omenslayer to challenge the base of the tower.
Welcome! Welcome! Before we begin, I did a test run and realized 1-and-done elimination just thins the Tower over time. I've updated the rules in the main description.
To start things off, please re-select your starting card when ready after reviewing the updated description!
I will stay the same with Plain Stickman and select an opponent at random.

Okay! There's 5 cards. Thanks for making me go through my entire collection. Some of that was a little painful, but there were a lot of fun cards along the way as well.
Match: @FireOfGolden vs @Lurisauri
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/plain-stickman-1 vs https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/kaelor-shadowfang-stalkerFinal Score:
Kaelor 20 – 8 Plain Stickman
Kaelor takes this one handily. It’s a mechanically clean, flavorful rare with a powerful identity and sound gameplay hook. Plain Stickman is conceptually fun and clever but requires heavy templating revision and clarification to be a fair or playable card.
Either way, in my set I am working on, might have some cards that will give Plain Stickman some color without having to use increase quality. Of course, these cards could be either uncommon or rarer. Good game nevertheless, @Lurisauri!
I would like rematch against Lurisauri but this time, it's Papers of Stickmen.
Match: @Mellow_MC vs @Corwinnn
Iridian, the Omenslayer by Mellow_MC | MTG Cardsmith vs FzzzZzzt, Flying Menace by Corwinnn | MTG CardsmithFinal Score:
Iridian 20 – 15 FzzzZzzt
Iridian wins for its mythic-tier synergy, bold mechanics, and horror-fantasy perfection. But FzzzZzzt puts up a strong fight as a clean, funny, effective design that shines at its rarity.
Match: @StuffnSuch vs @FireOfGolden
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/shareth-uniter-of-worlds vs https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/parasited-corspe-walkerFinal Score
Parasited Corpse Walker 20 – 14 Shareth, Uniter of Worlds
Corpse Walker is a superbly clean and evocative common. It works at all levels: Limited, flavor, mechanics. Shareth is a mind-blowing mythic idea, but the templating issues and potential balance-breaking make it more of a brilliant concept than a ready-to-play design.
@FireOfGolden vs @Lurisauri
https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/papers-of-stickman vs https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/the-masters-of-tranquility
Final Score
The Masters of Tranquility 20 – 13 Papers of Stickman
While Papers is a delightful and mechanically sound common, Masters is an outstanding mythic — original, flavorful, and gameplay-altering. It earns its mythic rarity and feels like a signature card for a quirky or pacifist-themed set.
