Cycle Challenge - Artifacts
With the sixth Cycle Challenge having just ended, it's time for the next Cycle Challenge
The Cycle Challenge - ARTIFACTS!
Like a lot of you, I really love a good cycle of cards. Let's try this out and see how it goes. If people seem to like this, we will continue to have a new challenge each week for the next few weeks or so.
This weeks Cycle Challenge: ARTIFACTS
Here are the rules...
1. Must be an Artifact and can be an Equipment!.
2. CMC and rarity should be consistent.
3. Must have 5 Artifacts to complete the cycle, each should relate directly to a color.
4. Try to fit each one into it's color with both FLAVOR and EFFECT.
Judging will be based on flavor, votes, and comments, as well as playability and balance
The reward for this challenge shall be a TROPHY and a custom card of choice! The top three cycles will be announced.
This challenge will end on August 21st

Sixth Place
@leo5873 - Nice cycle. I see where you were going on this. A couple of the cards had some color flavor and others were clearly color oriented, and I would have liked to see more consistency on that. Still a nice job!
Fifth Place
@Cadstar369 - These are nice. I like the mana boost from these, but I think they might be a little high on the Casting Cost. A little more balance and these would be super fun! (What do they reference?)
Fourth Place
@lookingupanddown - I love the nod to Ice Age on your frostbite cloak! These are pretty fun, and I like that you got three colors involved! With a few wording corrections and balance, these would be pretty fun to play! Nice Job!
THIRD PLACE
@King_Devil_II - Nice Cycle. I like that they give you a benefit if you lose something, and also serve double duty to become something you need if you get into a situation! Love the Toenail!
SECOND PLACE
@Looverse - I love the cycle. I like the way you gave them all aspects of the colors, and then added on a bonus if you were using the color. It's straight forward, and I really enjoyed them. Great Job!
FIRST PLACE
@Suicidal_Deity - Nice Tribals! Heroes' Armour still trips me out, and I think it's my favorite! Great Job!
Thanks to everyone who commented and participated!

Also, the reason they're 5 mana each is a bit of an asian culture thing: the number 4 is bad, because the pronunciation of it is similar to the pronunciation of death. Given that, since they would be overpowered at 3 mana, I put them at 5, even though I did think it was kind of expensive. Also, since I gave them the subtype Shintai, I may make a support card for them. ;P
