  • @Feyamius It's no fun if we do a team challenge that could be done by one person x)
  • Well thank you everybody for the advice. With a 320 view, 62 comments and 13 sign ups in 24 hours, this is a new record.
  • Who's Participating?
    Sign me up!

Shall we have self decided teams after all people have signed up?
Right now, this would be my second-favored option, since I don't know very many of the cardsmiths who have signed up so far.

Shall we have teams be chosen by team captain?
This would be my most favored option, since I know most of the team captains better.

    Shall we have multiple rounds?
I don't think so, considering the amount of investment one round alone will take. Plus, it doesn't seem like a very popular idea so far anyway.

After each round, should teams be chosen again and switched with different number of team members?
If we do end up doing multiple rounds, that would be good. It would be a good way to mix up perspectives, and get cardsmiths a chance to interact with others that they haven't interacted with before.

How many people should be in each team?
4-5 would be best. As @ningyounk pointed out, it's small enough that everyone's voice should be heard, while large enough that if 1 or 2 people end up preoccupied with something in their personal life, that still leaves 3-4 people to work on the set. However, the number of possible teams is another thing to keep in mind. Let's say the aim is to have at least 3 teams. If each team must consist of a minimum of 4 cardsmiths, then you'd need a minimum of 12 people to sign up. So, so far you're good. If you want more than 3 teams, though, you'll either need more people to sign up or a riskier minimum of 3 people per team.

Since I'm not a loner and I want to join to, can I join and have the winner be voted (because entries will be few)?
Sure! I'm fine with each team voting on the others.

Should I have all cards made in 1 set?
As in, 1 account, with 1 set for every team? I think that would be the best way to handle it.

Should all the cards just be posted separately (I wouldn't suggest that)?
    Nah, that'd be a mess.

Should we have a premium member in each team so all cards they decide on will be put in that set (They could be team captains, but I don't think there are enough premium members)?
Sure, if enough premium members sign up!

Should I get a good-hearted person like Corwinnn to make a set for each team?
What exactly do you mean by that? Are you suggesting that Corwinnn choose the basic concept for each set that each team will work on? If so, a) That would avoid the problem of multiple people not being able to decide on one thing, or two teams having overly similar concepts, but on the other hand, b) That would restrict the freedom/creativity of the teams.

Can the winner be chosen by popular vote?
Well, unless you ask someone else to judge in your place, if you're participating as a contestant, then yeah!

    Should we name our teams?
    Heck yeah!

Most importantly, what should the contest exactly be on? Note that each one will be different.
I like the most popular idea so far, having each team create a new plane/story. That'll get the creativity flowing!
  • Whose Participating?
    me, if i can
Shall we have self decided teams after all people have signed up?
i dont think that will be as fun as...(below)

Shall we have teams be chosen by team captain?
yeh, cause then we will meet new people!

    Shall we have multiple rounds?
yeh #biglongcontest (not actuslly a hashtag)

After each round, should teams be chosen again and switched with different number of team members?
    no

How many people should be in each team?
3-5 is good, just try to make it even.

Since I'm not a loner and I want to join to, can I join and have the winner be voted (because entries will be few)?
    sure, i guess

Should I have all cards made in 1 set?
    i would think so.
Should all the cards just be posted separately (I wouldn't suggest that)?
i would just post whatever you have

Should we have a premium member in each team so all cards they decide on will be put in that set (They could be team captains, but I don't think there are enough premium memebers)?
    thats a good idea
Should I get a good hearted person like @Corwinnn to make a set for each team?
    that would be GREAT!
Can the winner be chosen by popular vote?
    i think you should vote...
    Should we name our teams?
yes, so when we post our cards, you will no what team did it.

Most importantly, what should the contest exactly be on? Note that each one will be different
    whatever you like
  • yeah! 15 people are in!
  • @TrippleBoggey3 I think the best way to pick teams is to randomize them.
  • By the way, we discussed how to make teams, but not how to choose captains ^^ We need to think about this too :)
  • I think captains should be chosen randomly
  • I feel honored being inspiration for this contest and being suggested as a team leader. To be true, that's a really responsible job and I am not sure, I can fulfill it. I'd rather like being a normal contestant.

    OKAY!!! ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

SIGN UPS FOR ROUND 1 IS OVER. WE WILL START ROUND 1 TONIGHT AFTER TEAMS HAVE BEEN PICKED.

I HAVE CHANGED THE LENGTH OF THE CONTEST TO NEXT WEDNESDAY (HOPEFULLY), WHICH WILL MAKE 1 WEEK.

THERE WILL BE 4 TEAMS OF 4.

I HAVE CHOSEN THE TEAM CAPTAINS, BECAUSE TEAM CAPTAINS WAS THE MOST POPULAR CHOICE.
  • TEAM CAPTAINS ARE:

    @TrippleBoggey3
    @Ningyounk
    @Feyamius
    @Monty

DO NOT ASK HOW I CHOSE THEM. ACTUALLY YOU CAN, BUT THAT MIGHT OFFEND SOME PEOPLE.

TEAM CAPTAINS, I WILL START A PM TO CHOOSE TEAMMATES. ONCE TEAMMATES HAVE BEEN CHOSE, THE CONTEST WILL BEGIN.
  • IF YOU WOULD STILL LIKE TO SIGN UP, YOU MAY SIGN UP FOR ROUND 2 INSTEAD. @Corwinnn AND EVERYBODY SIGNED UP FOR ROUND 1 WILL BE SIGNED UP FOR ROUND 2. THANK YOU.
  • I ended sign ups early because I feared you guys would lose interest if this didn't start earlier. Right now the team captains are picking teams.
  • @I want to sign up for round 2 even though im also in round one. I just want to be in both. Is that ok?
  • @littledemon Everybody signed up for round 1 will be signed for round 2 appearantly. Way to go though, buddy! Let's see how things will turn out :D
  • @Yururu yeah, i'm really excited! This 'll be an awesome competition! Good luck!
  • Yup I know. However choosing teams takes a while. It'll probably take till night.

@TrippleBoggey3 ok nice to now until when things will start actually moving 'long
  • @TrippleBoggey Oh, and i would like to know how you chose the captains (I wont get offended)
  • @Myself was chosen because... Ya know...
@Ningyounk was chosen because he is extremely critical, yet extremely helpful, the traits of a good leader.
@Feyamius because I like how he patiently examines every card on the cardsmith, giving very good advice.
@Monty because he's a really nice guy and everyone likes him.
  • Lol of course @Monty is the best!
  • @littledemon awwww, thanks bud <3

@Monty Your welcome sir! (Tips hat in respect)
  • @Monty, @Everybody else, I just noticed something:

@Ningyounk is only available when... Ughh... Midnight?
@Feyamius is only available... Morning... When I'm at school.

The team choosing looks like will last till Friday night...

Do you want to just do random?

No offense to the team captains.
  • I have no vested opinion any which way, whatever ends up being the most convenient method sounds good to me.
  • RANDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Random teams then have the teams elect a captain/ representative if such a role is essential?
  • It is, because they will be representatives to talk about issues or time enlongments.
  • Well, the original vote was:

    6 voted captain
    6 voted random

    So I chose captain.
