Contests and Challenges

Welcome to the most interactive discussion on the forums! (Maybe)

Not sure what contest to participate in? Look no further! Here, anyone can request tasks, and anyone can give you those tasks to complete.

Here's how this works, and I promise, it's really simple and easy!

You can request tasks. To do this...

Step 1 - Request a mystery task
  • When you request, just post on here something along the lines of, "I'd like a task."
  • Don't request anything specifically. Just ask for a task and see what you get in return.
Step 2 - Wait Just a Moment
  • Anyone can give you a task by tagging you in a post, giving you a task of their choice.
  • If you jump back online and find more than one person has given you a task, you can choose which task you'd like to complete.
Step 3 - Complete Your Task
  • This is the fun part!
Step 4 - Start again with Step 1
  • Just make sure you complete step 3.

So anyone can give out tasks? Awesome! What's a task exactly?

Tasks can be anything you can fit into a bullet point. They can be any of the following things:
  • A challenge to create a card
  • Participate in a certain discussion by submitting a card in it
  • Drop a comment or favorite on a card of the task doer's choice
  • A mini-test run of a contest you'd like to eventually do.
  • Anything else that you come up with.

Someone's task giving you a hard time?

  • So, occasionally I can imagine a situation might arise where only one person has given you a task to complete, and it just doesn't make sense or is simply something you don't feel like doing.
  • No stress, just tag me, @Jpastor, and request a new task. I'll be happy to give you something a little more revised.

Nobody giving you a task?

  • No worries. Occasionally, I'll jump in and give tasks, too. So, just fill your time with some mystery boxes. Feel free to tag me at any time, though, I'll be around! @jpastor

Rewards (optional for task givers)

  • So, in addition to handing out tasks like a boss, you also have the option to hand out a small prize for its completion. The prize can be anything you'd like it to be.
