  • Hyousei would like to proceed to the boss encounter.
  • @Cadstar369
Very well. You will encounter the boss within few minutes. I will let you know when you may make a decision for your first turn.

    @jpastor @Mellow_MC
It is now or never to join the boss encounter within a few minutes. After that, you won't be able to join the battle until Hyousei dies or the battle ends.
  • @Cadstar369
Hyousei have encountered a boss. It is your turn, you may make a decision.

    (Boss) Spellbinded Knight Armor

    4× Offensive Training Dummies

    5× Defensive Training Dummies

Hyousei will proceed with the strategy outlined previously, using Frost Over to prevent incoming damage, the Wooden Sword to defeat one of the Offensive Training Dummies, Interfere if the Spellbound Knight Armor casts anything that would lead to Hyousei losing life, and the Wooden Shield/Wheat only if absolutely necessary.
  • Oop I wasn't able to join the battle because I was in school. Can I join the encounter now?
  • @Mellow_MC
Unfortunately, your creature didn't meet the requirement yet and it is too late for you and jpastor to join the encounter. Do not worry, you will still collect quest rewards.

    @Cadstar369
Hyousei skips first turn then casts "Frost Over" on enemy turn.
    Frost Over - Instant
Color: Blue, Mana cost: 1, Rarity: Common
"All creatures gets -1/-0 until end of turn, artifact creatures gets additional -2/-0 until end of turn."
Hyousei then suddenly slashes one of Offensive Training Dummy for a single damage. Which is enough for it to die.

However, another Defensive Training Dummy performs "In the Way" to redirect damage onto it instead of Offensive Training Dummy.
    In the Way - Instant
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 1, Rarity: Common
"Until the end of turn, if next creature you control would be dealt damage, prevent that then deal that much damage to target creature you control."

All Offensive Training Dummies advances regardless being frozen. They performs "Light Strike" as they attack.
    Light Strike - Sorcery
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 1, Rarity: Common
"Target creature gets +1/+0 until the end of turn."

The Spellbinded Knight Armor will stay by and see whether the dummies may need help or not.
  • Since Hyousei takes no damage from the Dummies' attack and the Defensive Training Dummies don't regain mana, they intend to repeat this strategy for the next 8 turns (assuming the Spellbound Knight Armor does not act during the interim). If the other Training Dummies act similarly, this will eliminate all Offensive Training Dummies and leave all Defensive Training Dummies with no mana.

    @Cadstar369
Of which Hyousei do this way repeatedly until sixth turn where Defensive Training Dummies are out of mana. Spellbinded Knight Armor realized, then it performs "Behind the Shield" on targeted Offensive Training Dummy. The attack was backfired on Hyousei.
    Behind the Shield - Instant
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 1, Rarity: Uncommon
"Prevent all damage would be dealt by target creature, Behind the Shield deals damage to that creature equal to number of damage was prevented this way."

Then Spellbinded Knight Armor then performs "Medium Strike" to bring a strike upon Hyousei as it attacks along the Offensive Training Dummies.
    Medium Strike - Sorcery
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 2, Rarity: Common
"Target creature gets +2/+0 until the end of turn."

  • Hyousei will use the Wooden Shield to prevent the 1 damage the Spellbound Knight Armor would have dealt with its attack, preventing any potential loss of life this turn. Since the Spellbound Knight Armor is out of mana, Hyousei will continue to cast Frost Over each turn as before, but switch from holding up Interfere to casting Mist Dispersion as follows:
    • If the Spellbound Knight Armor attacks:
      • Hyousei will target it with the Wooden Sword, then cast Mist Dispersion on it after its triggered ability is wasted on the Wooden Sword.
    • If the Spellbound Knight Armor doesn't attack:
      • Hyousei will target an Offensive Training Dummy with the Wooden Sword and a Defensive Training Dummy with Mist Dispersion. Once there are no Training Dummies remaining, Hyousei will use Mist Dispersion on the Spellbound Knight Armor.
  • @Cadstar369
On seventh turn, Hyousei ends the team turn then enemy turn starts. However, before that happens, Spellbinded Knight Armor performs "Convert Energy" triple. Nine dummies are exhausted and cannot defend for this team turn. Spellbinded Knight Armor's mana is restored at max.
    Convert Energy - Instant
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 0, Rarity: Uncommon
"Tap target three untapped creatures you control: add {1}."

Assuming that Hyousei does nothing but end the team turn. Spellbinded Knight Armor will perform "Heavy strike" on Hyousei as the Offensive Training Dummies advances as well with out of mana. Which is ineffective against Frost Over. Because of this, Hyousei will take no damage but one damage from Spellbinded Knight Armor.
    Heavy strike - Sorcery
Color: N/A, Mana cost: 3, Rarity: Common
"Target creature gets +4/+0 until the end of turn."
    Frost Over - Instant
Color: Blue, Mana cost: U, Rarity: Common
"All creatures gets -1/-0 until the end of turn, artifact creatures gets additional -2/-0 until the end of turn."

As planned, Hyousei will slash Spellbinded Knight Armor from distance then cast "Mist Dispersion" on it. However, Spellbinded Knight Armor reflects damage back to Hyousei, which will cause him to lose 1 life. Hence, Hyousei will block that 1 damage to avoid that. Spellbinded Knight Armor then fell apart onto the ground. It's nothing but a pile of armor now.
"Slash" (OTD'S Wooden Sword) - Activated ability
"{0}: Equipped creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player. This ability can be activated only once a turn."
    Mist Dispersion - Instant
Color: Blue, Mana cost: 0, Rarity: Common
"(This spell is blue.) In additional cost to cast Mist Dispersion, tap a untapped blue creature you control. Return target creature to its owner's hand."
"Block" (DTD's Wooden Shield) - Activated ability
"{0}: Prevent next 1 damage would be dealt to equipped creature. This ability can be only activated once a turn."

For some reasons, the dummies stopped still now. As if their power source been cut off.

You won! You earned 30 EXP.

Items been dropped you may pick off:
    Spellbinded Knight Armor's crystal
    SKA's Crystal - Token Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Uncommon
"{t}, Sacifice this artifact: Add {1} for each land you control."
The crystal glows at Hyousei's tip finger...
    Spellbinded Knight Armor's sword
SKA's Iron Sword - Token Equipment Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Common
"When equipped creature attacks, it gets +2/+0 until the end of turn."
    Offensive Training Dummy's sword
OTD's Wooden Sword - Token Equipment Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Common
"{0}: Equipped creature deals 1 damage to target attacking or defending creature."
    1× Wooden handle
    Wooden handle - Token Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Common
    "N/A"
Something could be put onto it to make it useful
    2× Wheat
    Wheat - Token Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Common
"{t}, Sacifice this artifact: Target creature gets +0/+1 until the end of turn."
(This took me about two hours to type all of this, phew!)
  • @Cadstar369
Additionally, you earned a skill point for defeating the boss! The world will be collapsing soonly.

You leveled up! You now have two stats points left.
  • @Mellow_MC @jpastor Cadstar369
Both quests been completed! Each person earn 10 EXP for each quest. The world is collapsing soonly, it is advised to get out of the world before that happens. There is nothing for you to do here.
  • @jpastor

  • @FireOfGolden @cadstar369

Hyousei's approach is both pragmatic and well-suited to their defensive, control-based strategy. They’ve got this under control, focusing on maintaining mana efficiency and using the environment and equipment to maximum advantage. If Thalor (and Kuma) decide to join, they'll serve more as frontline support rather than carrying the fight, as Hyousei's plan is already optimized.

    Final Setup Confirmation:

    • Hyousei’s Loadout:

      • Wooden Sword: For consistent 1 damage per turn.
      • Wooden Shield: Prevents 1 damage once per turn if needed.
      • 2× Wheat: Extra durability via +0/+1 buffs if required.
    • Battle Plan Recap:

      1. Frost Over: Reduces enemy power, neutralizing the most immediate threat.
      2. Sword Strike: Chips away at dummies' health each turn.
      3. Interfere: Counters any critical boss spells.

    Thalor’s Potential Role:

    • If Thalor joins, he’ll take the Wooden Shield and 2 Wheat, focusing on absorbing or avoiding damage rather than outputting it.
    • If not, Hyousei proceeds solo, reaping all rewards and experience, streamlining the fight.

Either way, the stage is set for a controlled, strategic victory. Ready when you are!

  • @jpastor
I afraid you are a little too late. 😉

Perhaps you should refresh your website.
  • Hyousei would like to take the Spellbound Knight Armor's Crystal, the Wooden Sword, and the Wooden Handle. If anyone else wants the Spellbound Knight Armor's Sword, a Wooden Sword, and/or the Wooden Shield they’re welcome to it, otherwise Hyousei will hold them in their inventory just so they aren’t lost when Small World ~ The Training World closes. (The Spellbound Knight Armor’s Sword in particular is good for Koro.)

I'll post the updated Hyousei after my classes are over. While I’m thinking about it though, @FireOfGolden does it cost a stat point to improve a sentence, or does it only cost to add sentences? (e.g. if I want Hyousei to give -2/-0 instead of -1/-0, does that cost a stat point?) Additionally, can the Spellbound Knight Armor Crystal be combined with the Wooden Handle to craft a staff of some sort?

    Hyousei's Equipment (tentative)
Offensive Training Dummy's Wooden Sword x2 (if nobody else wants one)

    Hyousei's Inventory (tentative)
Spellbound Knight Armor's Sword (if nobody else takes it)
Defensive Training Dummy's Wooden Shield (if nobody else takes it)
    Spellbound Knight Armor's Crystal
    Wooden Handle
Wheat (up to 3 depending on what the others take)
  • @Cadstar369
    Stats points question regarding abilities
This is tricky situation, because abilities are hard to enforce and control as DM. Hence, I decided to set it to "One for one" which a single sentence (Or a keyword) uses a stats point up. Adding a keyword in a sentence will make it "Complexed sentence". To answer your question, you can increase from -1/-0 to -2/-0 without using any stats point because that ability is based on Hyousei's "mana cost" not stats points. Increasing his rarity may strength the ability even further.

    Crafting?
My memo is "Yes, then..." Hence, yes. You can attempt to put a crystal on the handle and see what happens. It may has a chance to fail or success.
  • After leaving the small world, Hyousei will attempt to use the Spellbound Knight Armor Crystal and Wooden Handle to craft a more useful item.

    Here's level 2 Hyousei:
    Hyousei L2
(Spending a skill point for a second color, a stat point to upgrade rarity, and a stat point to add a second ability.)
  • @Mellow_MC @jpastor
The world is now starting collapsing. It is advised to leave within few hours or your character may be pulled down along the world.

    @Cadstar369
Hyousei have created... Staff of Lifeforce!
Staff of Lifeforce - Token Equipment Artifact
Color: N/A, Mana cost: N/A, Rarity: Uncommon
"Equipped creature have "{t}: Add {1} for each land you control. This ability can be only activated once."

You may open new small world.
  • Considering players don't control lands in this saga, should I read the Staff of Lifeforce's effect as
"Equipped creature has "{t}: Add {X}, where X is your level. Activate only once."
    or
"Equipped creature has "{t}: Add {X}, where X is the current turn number. Activate only once."
or something else entirely? Additionally, does "only once" mean the staff can be used once per encounter, or that it breaks after a single use?

    @Cadstar369
Lands prefer as "Max Mana". You have two imagery lands. Whereas, your level is equal to the number lands you control.
  • I'd like to open a new small world please.
  • @jpastor @Mellow_MC
As a guide, I cannot let you die along the world! I shoved you straight out of the Training World just before it collapses. I may be unable to save you next time.
  • @Cadstar369
    The portal opens to...

    Goblin World

As you enter the world, the air feels uneasy... You'd see a town with full of goblins. Goblins are nasty and greedy. Just a sight of you carrying something valuable will cause them to be hostile toward to you. Perhaps just a look of you will do. Goblins do not care about their life and they are very aggressive. Let guard down and you may find yourself in a world of trouble.

When you are ready, you may enter now.
  • Seems simple enough; Hyousei will enter the Goblin World.
  • @FireOfGolden

That was close! It seems the Training World wasn’t as stable as it appeared. Hyousei and the team will need to regroup, reassess, and find a new arena or training ground.

    Next Steps:

    • Find a New Training Zone: Perhaps something with more stability and better loot opportunities.
    • Prepare for Future Challenges: Consider upgrading gear or scouting out NPC allies.
    • Check for Quests or Safe Zones: Are there nearby villages or sanctuaries?

Let’s plan our next move before things get out of hand again!

  • @jpastor
Welcome back! The new world been already opened. The Goblin World awaits for your arrival!

    @Cadstar369
    You encountered;
    3× Greedy Daggermen

For some reasons, you are given first turn.

    New rule for joining in-battle;

If you missed the battle, you may join the such battle. However, it will have your character tapped as it enter the battlefield and empty your mana pool (Which you will recharge for one mana of course.)

  • This sounds like a challenging place where stealth, awareness, and smart decisions will be crucial.
