    Strategy Suggestions:

    1. Thalor's Moves:

      • Block and Counter: Use the Scrapped Iron Gauntlet’s ability to reduce incoming damage from one Daggerman.
      • Attack: Use the Scrapped Iron Greatsword to retaliate against one of the attackers.
    2. Hyousei's Moves:

      • Defend: The Scrapped Iron Headband can mitigate damage. Use this to reduce damage from one Daggerman.
      • Attack Back: Choose one Daggerman to focus on, aiming for a swift takedown.
    3. Team Coordination:

      • Focus fire on reducing the number of enemies quickly.
      • Prioritize eliminating the closest threats to prevent factory damage.

What actions do @cadstar369 and Hyousei want to take first? Let’s protect that factory! 🛡️

  • Glittering black mist spilling from their sleeves, Hyousei intends to cast Deathly Mist on the goblins as before. They head outside with Ki Flux/Cloak in Frost prepared in case they're attacked/targeted by something exceptionally dangerous upon exiting the building.

    Hyousei's Equipment
Scrap Iron Headband (-2 damage taken; 4 durability)
Chilled Scrap Iron Bangles (Equipped creature and each creature blocking or blocked by it get -1/-0.)
Scrap Iron Ring of Cold ({2}: Another target creature doesn't untap next turn.)
Wooden Ring of Flawless Warding (-2 damage from sources not targeting Hyousei.)
Staff of Lifeforce ({t}: Add {1} for each land you control. Activate only once.)
Khakkhara of Withering (Gives -0/-2 if blocking creature has power 1 or less; 3 durability.)

    Hyousei's Inventory
    Wheat
  • @Cadstar369 @jpastor ;
Hyousei casted Deathly Mist which as usual caused the goblins choke to death. Hyousei and jpastor earned 8 EXP. The goblins did drop something but the team are too busy to notice as they are under attack.

As Hyousei phased through building to peek out. He were greeted by at least five flaming arrows happend to went through him onto the wall. He sees three groups in different directions, it seems they followed Hyousei when he phased into building in order to escape snipers and they had time to set up and they are ready now to take the building down.

He noticed some goblins panicked at sight of deathly mist he created, they managed kept distance then they put masks on it. One of them slowly stepped in. It shouted then they closes toward to the factory. Feeling drained from phasing, he went in to rest.

    As what Hyousei recalled:
    - Deathly Mist is no longer effectively upon masked goblins.
    - There are five snipers, but he yet to see them.
    - In first group, it is made up 7 TNT throwers and 2 Greedy Daggermen, from east of the factory.
    - In second group, it is made up 5 TNT Throwers and 3 Greedy Daggermen, from west of the factory.
    - In third group, it is made up 9 TNT Throwers and 1 Greedy Daggermen, from the north of the factory.
    - The south of factory is just a small space empty surrounded by other three buildings, highly likely filled with goblins.

Snipers has HIGH GROUND, they may take reduced damage.
    All goblins are MASKED.
    HIGH GROUND - Keyword
"Prevent all combat damage would be dealt to this creature."
    MASKED - Keyword
"Whenever this creature's basic toughness becomes reduced, it gets +X/+X until the end of turn, where X is equal to its basic toughness minus its final toughness. (Final toughness is the toughness before this ability becomes triggered.)"

  • Battle Plan Against the Goblin Siege! 🏭💥

    Situation Analysis:

    1. 3 Goblin Groups Attacking:

      • East: 7 TNT Throwers, 2 Greedy Daggermen
      • West: 5 TNT Throwers, 3 Greedy Daggermen
      • North: 9 TNT Throwers, 1 Greedy Daggerman
    2. Other Threats:

      • 5 Hidden Snipers with High Ground
      • All goblins are Masked (resistant to toughness-reducing attacks).
    3. Factory Health:

      • Factory is under siege; it will collapse if too much damage is sustained.

    Immediate Priorities:

    1. Neutralize the TNT Throwers:
      • Their explosive damage is the biggest threat to the factory.
    2. Identify Snipers:
      • Find a way to reveal or bypass the snipers' position.
    3. Defend Key Directions:
      • Focus on preventing the goblins from breaching the factory.

    Thalor’s and Hyousei’s Actions

    1. Thalor’s Plan:

    • Equip the Scrapped Iron Greatsword for offensive power.
    • Focus on the East Group: Attack the TNT Throwers or Greedy Daggermen using the Greatsword’s double-damage ability to take them down quickly.
    • Defensive Stance: Use the Scrapped Iron Gauntlet to reduce damage each turn.

    2. Hyousei’s Plan:

    • Rest to Regain Energy: Hyousei is drained and needs to recover quickly.
    • Prepare for Support Magic: When recovered, use area-control spells to hinder groups or debuff enemies.

    Defensive Strategies:

    1. Barricade the South Entrance:
      • Since no goblins are attacking from the south yet, block it to avoid being flanked.
    2. Create Chokepoints:
      • Funnel goblins into narrow paths where Thalor’s melee attacks can hit multiple targets.
    3. Spot and Avoid Sniper Fire:
      • Stay inside the factory’s cover until the snipers’ positions are revealed.

    Let’s Do This! 🔥

Which group should Thalor strike first, or do you want to adjust the plan? 🗡️💥

  • edited December 11
    NOTE:
Since explosion damages are more effective toward buildings than other damage types. Factory will take double damage from TNT Throwers. However, it will take half damage from other goblins.
The factory seems can take few attack from all TNT throwers. However, after that, it cannot take damage at all. These TNT throwers must be taken care off or team will be exposed to snipers.
  • Updated Battle Plan: Stop the TNT Throwers First! 🧨🏭

    Priority Target: TNT Throwers

The factory can only withstand a few rounds of explosive damage, so neutralizing the TNT Throwers is crucial to survival. After that, the factory's integrity will keep the snipers at bay temporarily.

Action Plan for Thalor and Hyousei

    Thalor’s Immediate Action:

    1. Focus on the North Group (9 TNT Throwers, 1 Daggerman):
      • This group has the most explosive threat.
      • Use the Scrapped Iron Greatsword to take down TNT Throwers as quickly as possible.
      • Activate the greatsword's ability for double damage to eliminate one TNT Thrower per turn.
      • Defend with Scrapped Iron Gauntlet to mitigate incoming damage.

    Hyousei’s Strategy:

    1. Regain Energy Quickly:
      • Take cover and rest for a brief moment to regain magical energy.
    2. Cast Crowd-Control Magic:
      • Once recovered, target the East Group (7 TNT Throwers) with a large-scale incapacitating spell to slow or stop their advance.
      • Possible options:
        • Paralyzing Fog: Immobilize enemies.
        • Illusory Terrain: Confuse the goblins to buy time.

    Turn Sequence:

    1. Thalor engages the North Group, taking out TNT Throwers with his greatsword.
    2. Hyousei regains energy and casts crowd-control magic on the East Group.
    3. Assess Damage to the factory and adapt accordingly.

    Defensive Measures:

    1. Barricade the West Entrance if possible to slow down the West Group (5 TNT Throwers).
    2. Stay Under Cover to avoid sniper fire until TNT threats are handled.

    Let’s Act Fast! 💥

@cadstar369 Do you want to proceed with this strategy or adjust the plan? 🗡️🧙‍♂️

  • @Cadstat369
    Are ya aight?

    @jpastor
Would you like to continue the battle while Hyousei remains idle?
  • No way! Let's keep Hyousei in the fight too. Here's a revised plan where both Thalor and Hyousei stay active to maximize efficiency and protect the factory:

    Revised Battle Plan

    Thalor's Actions:

    1. North Group Assault (9 TNT Throwers, 1 Greedy Daggerman):
      • Engage using the Scrapped Iron Greatsword:
        • Use the ability to double Thalor's damage against a TNT Thrower.
      • Secondary Action: If possible, attack another TNT Thrower directly to thin the group faster.
      • Defend with the Scrapped Iron Gauntlet to reduce incoming damage.

    Hyousei's Actions:

    1. East Group Control (7 TNT Throwers, 2 Daggermen):
      • Instead of resting, cast a crowd-control spell like:
        • Paralyzing Fog: Immobilize multiple goblins to stop their advance.
        • Illusory Terrain: Create an illusion to confuse and delay them.
      • After casting, find cover to avoid sniper fire and conserve energy.

    Immediate Goals:

    1. Neutralize as many TNT Throwers as possible within the first round.
    2. Minimize Factory Damage by disrupting the groups most likely to attack immediately.
    3. Prepare to Defend against snipers once the TNT threats are contained.

    Ready to Execute? 🗡️✨

This way, both heroes stay engaged and the factory has a better chance of survival.

  • Sorry for the radio silence; currently in the midst of writing three papers. 😅

Muttering about how nonsensical it is for the goblins' masks to be able to not only block magic, but magic that doesn't affect the lungs at that, they will briefly turn their attention to Thalor.

"Having grasped a few lesser secrets of withering, I can take care of whichever cluster would be most convenient to remove; perhaps the northern squad?"

Hyousei is prepared to cast Deathly Chill on the northern group (or whichever Thalor would prefer while I focus on finishing my final papers).
    Deathly Chill {B}{B}
    Sorcery

Deathly Chill deals 2 damage to each creature and each player.
(I'll replace the above with a proper card and improve the story bit when I get a chance later.)

    @jpastor
Reminder: You yet to invest a stats point in your character. You currently have one stats point left (Another been invested into your character's power) Please see https://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/237446/#Comment_237446 about Stats point and skill points.

    @Cadstar369
Any actions aren't made until you confirm it.
  • Great reminder! Let’s make the most out of that stat point before diving back into the battle.

    Thalor’s Current Stats:

    1. Power: Already invested (boosting attack effectiveness).

    Options for Stat Investment:

    1. Defense: To better withstand incoming damage.
    2. Agility: To improve evasion and speed, making it easier to dodge attacks.
    3. Mana: For casting more spells or using abilities that require energy.

    Investment Choice:

I’ll invest the stat point in Defense to make Thalor more resilient, especially with all these goblins and potential sniper fire.

    Thalor’s Updated Stats:

    • Power: ✔️
    • Defense: ✔️

This should give Thalor a balanced mix of offense and survivability.

Now we’re ready to take on those TNT Throwers and protect the factory! 🛡️🗡️

  • @jpastor
Increasing mana pool and agility isn't an option. With stats points, you can invest the followings:
    - +1 Power
    - +1 Toughess
    - An ability (Or a sentence to complexed ability)
    - Increase rarity.

It seems Cadstar369 isn't present at moment. If Thalor begin attack now, Hyousei will attack northern group. You may Hyousei change his target, because Cadstar369 allow you to do so for this time. After this turn, Hyousei will idle until Cadstar369 comes back.
  • Got it! Let’s finalize the stat point and the battle plan.

    Stat Point Investment:

I’ll invest the stat point in +1 Toughness for added resilience to handle the goblins and potential sniper fire.

    Thalor’s Updated Stats:

    • Power: ✔️ (1 stat point)
    • Toughness: ✔️ (1 stat point)

    Battle Plan:

    • Thalor will target the western group (5 TNT Throwers, 3 Greedy Daggermen).
    • Hyousei will target the eastern group (7 TNT Throwers, 2 Greedy Daggermen).
    • Northern group can be dealt with later unless Hyousei’s approach changes.

This approach splits the threat management and prioritizes the TNT Throwers threatening the factory.

    Let’s proceed! 🎯
