*A person donned in a blue hooded cloak steps into the tavern...* Well, it's been a while since my last order here. The dungeon which the bartender mentioned was quite profitable indeed, even though some of my associates died horribly. I had to spend each Treasure I found for their funerals. Anyways, before I place a new order, let me review some of the recent orders of The Menu...
Consult the Underworld - *Takes a bite* ... I could use a hot meal like this with my Pirate crew. Though I personally think of Underworld as the Graveyard and the bottom of Library as forgotten/old knowledge, this still hits a flavorful sweet spot and also offers mechanical excitement.
Weary Veteran - *Takes a sip* ... Honestly I don't find this one too exciting mechanically, for I think the downside is too great for such decent stats when compared to a monster called Sangrophage. If a token-heavy deck were to fight with/against the Veteran, its controller would die in no time. I'd decrease the life loss to 1, or have it only care about nontoken creatures, or increase the Veteran's stats, or take a slightly different approach. Maybe it should get -X/-0 depending on the amount of creatures that died on the current turn? But in the end, I'm a sucker for Orzhov cards with beautiful dark fantasy art and tragic themes, so I still give it one star.
Fowl Whisperer - *Eats the cookie* ... What can I say? An interesting common with gorgeous art, nice tribal support, and lore. I always like finding these.
Eschaton - *Sniffs the soup* ... Hmm... *Tastes it with a finger* ... Oh my. I think this is Squirrel food. But... What. A. Soup. *Tastes again* Finally a recipe to surpass Emrakul's cookings!
@Faiths_Guide - Oh hello! I didn't see you there! I promised last time to order something even more extraordinary, and right now I'm feeling nostalgic. Make me a meal worthy of an epic, made with ingredients of a distant land.
