Mechanic Help
I'm making an egyptian/middle eastern themed set that focuses on each of the colors individually, and I want to implement a mechanic that I'm not sure about. The mechanic as of now is Victorious (Whenever this creature blocks or is blocked by another creature, if that creature would die this turn, prevent all damage that would be dealt to this creature.) Although I like the mechanic as it is, I don't know if it is overpowered or underpowered in its current state. I've also considered adding "and put a +1/+1 counter on this creature" as well, but I feel like that may be overpowered. What do you guys think?

Also I loooooove Egyptian mythology, so if you want some help incorporating that, I'd be glad to help.
Unless you have first strike or something that allows you to swing first, your creature will already take damage, and you can't prevent damage already dealt.
You have a 2/2 with Victorious, and you block a 1/1 vanilla. Both creatures hit at the same time, and the 1/1 dies and your creature drops to 2/1 and activates its Victorious ability. That 1 damage dealt to your creature remains until end of turn though.
So your ability only works for your second or your opponent's second main phase, and only for spells or abilities.
You also need to specify that you prevent all damage dealt to it until end of turn. As is, it is forever.
The +1/+1 counter idea works well, I would just remove the prevention clause and change it to adding a counter. Makes it a little more balanced as a keyword for a set. And if you want some of your creatures to gain prevention, make that specific to those cards, champions and creatures touched by Gods or monsters or whatnot.
