Crow the Scares! I mean SCARE THE CROWS!
Hey guys! The objective is pretty clear: Let's make Reaper King some friends!
Put that into rules:
- Create a creature or tribal card with the subtype Scarecrow
- Make no more than two entries unless you ask nicely for more
- One old card allowed (unless you ask nicely)
- Create no cards that would fit into an Un-set (no joke cards)
- Pay attention to your wording, graphic design and stuff like that
- No Mtg art
- Post the card image, not just a link (if you don't know how, look it up or ask somebody)
Judging criteria:
- Judging will happen on 15th of October
- Originality, inventivity
- Graphic design (!)
- Wording
- Balancing
- Flavor
- Art (?)
I will announce three top places and up to two honorable mentions depending on the number of entries. The prizes will be from three faves to whatever I feel good to award the specific card. Enjoy

Scarecrow Tribal. Love it.
Would this count?
Still has synergy with the king since it can ramp you into him.
@Faiths_Guide Hm... this is tricky. I said that the card itself needed to be a Scarecrow. But I like your little land, I might count it as a honorably honorable mention, idk.
And with the entries... oof, you just went for it. I mean, four is pretty high, but my curiosity wins, so let me see them. You get your four old entries for asking so nice.
@Arceus8523 Your card is so amazing! Minor nitpicks - I'd not consider wither a particularly green ability; I think the last ability could give just one color for so cheap, right now it's pretty strong.
@Flameice2 Nice and flavorful card, I like it. Nitpicking - food should be with a capital F. Three should be written with a word, not a number. Crows are not really a thing, I think Birds would work as well. Otherwise it's nice.
Wanted to see if I could make a card with synergy towards the original scarecrows from lorwyn and shadowmoor
The kit of abilities it grants is based on the [prefix][suffix] cycle of scraecrows from Shadowmoor. The ability it grants each color of creature is based on the ability the scarecrows from that cycle get if a creature of that color is on the field.

@Arceus8523 Oh, ok, I see now. Thanks for explaining!
@Credius Your cards look very nice, I just think they're a bit overpowered. A 2/2 for two is ok. A 2/2 for any mana is nice and menace and persist on top of that? Oof, that's pretty rough. And Haymonger is pretty much unkillable, since it can remove -1/-1 counters from itself.
@TenebrisNemo Well, you deffinitely changed it and in a good way!
@Je_Suis_Oluwa Sorry, I said no unstable cards. Read the rules, please.
Haha, awesome!
the rider is in the sense of the original black knight and white knight...but yeah, might've upped that to 3 or 4 cmc
and maybe in casual
