The problem I've discovered with Set Symbols is that tiny details get lost if you don't make them bigger... sounds oxymoronic, but thin lines get lost once you go tiny.
The big version above looks amazing, but once it goes down to card size it looks like an homage to the WWE Star, The Ultimate Warrior!
The first two, even though a little larger still suffer the same problems as the earlier versions. I accidentally saved over my source file with layers so to change the sword and wings I have to manually which takes a little time. I will thicken the lines then as well but I do that at a later stage if these are not considered doable. The other two as look better on card.
Edit: What I maybe could do is to make the circle curve and the wings back side the same. That would maybe leave the wings to become quite ugly though. The thin line right now though is probably worse.
@Jonteman93 - The sword is too thin, it can barely be seen. Would it be too much to make it wider? Maybe as if the sword is super close, only its hilt, guard, and the beginning of the blade would be seen. And maybe make it so that the wings are part of the guard?
I also would like the halo around the wings/sword, and make it wider as well, so it could be seen. Or is there not enough space for it? Would it make the symbol too complicated and small?
@Jonteman93 I'm using Photoshop for my colors, and my darkest base colors are... Uncommon - 6C7983 Rare - A1884D Mythic - D65C24 And I work my gradients off those
@Corwinnn & @Tomigon - Here is my attempt to show what kind of symbol me and @Jonteman93 have been thinking about:
I am not good with these, as you can see from the quality. The thing in the middle is a sword's cross-guard, and the background is supposed to symbolize feathers. However, the sword might be a bit too close, and I can not draw feathers (or even the whole picture symmetrically). Jonteman also thought of having wings in front of most of the blade. Do you have any ideas on how to make the symbol represent the wings, sword, and the circle around them in a better way?
@Faiths_Guide - Fantastic work! I think the second one might work the best! There is nothing I can complain about; everything is simple, yet recognizable. Can't wait to hear @Jonteman93's thoughts. Thanks!
I took the liberty of editing the image so the thin white line in the sword was gone (though it probably wouldn't have appeared at all for being so thin) and that the area around the symbol is transparent. This is how it looks on the card:

I think the white should utilize a black background to help it become more visible, kinda like the newer Dominaria symbol.
Ok I tested to remove the outer circles and only let the inner one remain. I came off with four new types.

@TenebrisNemo Do you think these could work as emblems/medals?
You're just trying for too much complexity.
(Fill black areas with rarity colors. Expand all areas to form linework.)

@Corwinnn btw. What is the color codes (RRGGBB) for Uncommon, rare and Mythic?

Rare - A1884D
Mythic - D65C24

How would I get a URL so I can post my own set symbol?
Upload images to Imgur then right click those uploaded images and select to "Copy image address."

I'll take a stab at it (pun intended).
I think something along these lines might work eventually:
I'm trying to incorporate this kind of look:
I can't imagine that you'd ever be able to tell what it was on a card. You'll probably have to simplify your concept.
What do you think? It looks quite neat to me!
