Estrothia - My custom set (LORE REWORKED)
Hi there! Estrothia is the custom set I am building. I created this because I wanted to capture the design of the Modern Masters sets Wizards makes, but I also wanted to create a well balanced and fun limited environment. The set has 10 handpicked archetypes that I thought would fit best/be the most fun to build and play. There is one for each color pair.

I also, unlike the previous discussion I made for this set, made a much more compelling lore to go with it.
Here it is.
The plane of Estrothia is a plane very rich in mana, similar to the plane of Zendikar, which makes it a great plane to practice magic. The plane is carefully protected and watched over by a powerful and good angel named Alina.
Estrothia is split up into 3 distinct regions, Hia, Rot, and Est. First, Hia, which is also called the Primal Lands, is where mighty beasts, minotaurs, and other giant creatures thrive and call home. Here, only the strongest and the smartest survive, any others will be engulfed by its residents
Rot, also called the Dying Grounds, is where the undead and spirits of the deceased wander for eternity. Whenever a being on Estrothia dies, they are reawakened here and slowly Rot away until the only thing that is left is their soul. Most people stay away from Rot because the area is covered by thick bogs that slowly decay any living beings that enter.
Lastly, Est, where all the people of Estrothia seek refuge and safety from the dangers of the plane. It is said in an old myth that Est was created by Alina's very own tears and those who believe this proceed to pay tribute to Alina for most of their lives. Est is also incredibly protected by its residents, who build mighty fortifications to keep out intruders. Alina watches over the plane and makes sure the entire plane stays balanced throughout and nothing devastating happens to it or its people.
However, while Alina is constantly keeping watch over Estrothia, there is one problem. In the barren wastelands of Rot, there lives Garras, a zombified and vile minotaur who once was king the minotaur hordes of Estrothia. After he died and was sent to Rot, he realized he didn't want to give up being king, so he decided to try and hunt down the minotaurs of the plane, bring them to Rot to become zombified, and grow an army from them. While he had successfully put this plan into motion, he figured, why stop at being king of the minotaurs and Rot when he could instead be king of the entire plane? Eventually, as time when on, his armies grew and grew from the minotaurs his forces captured, which led to the people of Est to try and repel his forces, but these attempts were half successful.
Enter the main protagonist of this story, Drana, Chosen by Zendikar. While fighting against the last remains of the Eldrazi on Zendikar after the Gatewatch defeated the titans Ulamog and Kozilek, Drana had heard that a small amount of Eldrazi were about to wipe out her people. Knowing this, she willingly steps into action, risking her very own life to protect her people from harm's way. After fighting off the handful of Eldazi singlehandedly , Drana feels dizzy and sits down to try and regain her focus, when suddenly her planeswalker spark awakens, having her planeswalk to Estothia. Confused and unknown of the new world she has just entered, she swiftly begins looking around for answers.
And that's that, let me know about any questions/tips you have or would like to share. I really am excited to see where this set goes.
