  • This contest has been closed early for judging!
  • @AboveAndAbout are you still judging this?
  • Sorry this is taking longer than I expected! I'll have it done in three to four days!
  • Sounds good!
  • Ok! I've finally finished the judging!

    First, I'd like to thank all the participants of my contest! I hope you enjoyed it  :)

    Onto the judging!

    In fourth place,

    @pstmdrn with Mana Fabrication/Beginning Artifice!

    I love what you’ve done with these cards. I think that Mana Fabrication could be a rare or uncommon, since it adds a mana on top of learning. I really like the flavor of the two cards though, and I think you did very nice work with this.

    In third place,

    @CS101 with Avid Study/Last Minute Cram!

    I really like this entry! The only thing I would change is possibly put Avid Study as a sorcery rather than an instant. Though the flavor is excellent, and I love the flavor text on both cards!

    In second place,

    @SpellPiper2213 with Kargad, Portentology Expert/Watch the Wandering Star!

    This is a wonderful idea! I would have liked to see some synergy between the lesson and Kargad’s magecraft ability, but this is still a very solid entry. Though Kargad might be better at rare, since you can draw a lot of cards with the last ability.

    And finally, in first place,

    @feralitator with Study Abroad/Prophecized Growth!

    This was one of my favorite designs. I like the idea of going to other planes to study, and I think the mechanics of Study Abroad complemented the flavor of it. I think you could put the land on the battlefield with Prophecized Growth, since otherwise it's sort of underpowered. I also love how you used the Kaldheim mechanic Foretell on the card.

    Thanks again to all the participants, and congratulations to the winners!

    Winners, please PM me with the cards you would like me to favorite!

    @AboveAndAbout if possible, could I get feedback on my entries? Also, no offense intended, but how did Kargad, Portentology Expert/Watch the Wandering Star come second? Kargad is not only much too powerful, but an egregious pie break as well. And in my opinion, the two cards barely have any flavorful connection, and even less so a mechanical one.
