    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Retro generally appears on futuristic cards such as robots, symbolizing their metal being recycled.

    Blast (When this creature enters the battlefield, it deals damage equal to its power to a creature, player or planeswalker chosen at random.)

    Gearborn (When this permanent enters the battlefield, return target noncreature artifact card with converted mana cost less than this permanent's converted mana cost from your graveyard to your hand.)

    Barter (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice a creature with toughness lower than this creature's toughness. If you do, put +1/+1 counters equal to the sacrificed creature's power on this creature.)

    Obscure (When this creature enters the battlefield, any opponent may choose to counter target spell. If no spell was countered this way, draw a card.)

    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Stockpile can only be activated in your hand and additional cache counters can only be placed on it in exile. It can only be cast from exile if it was exiled from your hand with the stockpile ability.

    Enact N (Reveal the top five cards of your library. Put an enchantment card from among them into your hand or onto the battlefield if it's a Law with converted mana cost N or less. Put the rest on the bottom in any order.)
    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Law is an enchantment subtype with no inherent mechanical definition that can be referenced by this mechanic and other cards (Like arcane for instant/sorceries and cartouche for auras).

    "Wild" (Creatures with haste, creatures with trample, and instant and sorcery spells with no targets are wild.)
    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Wild is a batching Keyword (like historic).

    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Primarily Black, then Green, then Red (Colorless also works) - doesn't really work flavorfully with White or Blue

    Figment N (As long as you control no Non-Shadow creatures, this permanent is a N/N Shadow creature in addition to its other types.)
    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Made for Artifacts and Enchantments; Theoretically Lands also work, but they are hard to balance.

    _____ propagates. (If this permanent isn't a token, create a token that's a copy of it.)

    Peacemonger - When/Whenever/At _____, if no player lost life this turn, (effect..)
    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Primarily White, works in Non-Red colors
    Also, mostly meant to discourage you from attacking, so works well on end step triggers or triggers during the postcombat phase.

    Barren - if you control no permanents/no other permanents, (effect..)
    Barren - (Effect) as long as you control no other permanents.

    Compensate - if you didn't play first, (effect..)
    Compensate - (Effect) as long as you didn't play first.
