I like it! Is it too pushed though? 4 life, kill a dude with less than 5 toughness, and get a 4/1 lifelink for 3 CMC?
Now that you went 2-color and pulled it down 1, I think this should be a 3/1 and it's still quite good.
Any discard (with red draw methods for example) could get this online immediately.
I'm worried the value for the CMC might be a bit steep, but I'm not the best at balancing, so...
I like that approach!
Vizkopa is a trade-to-gain-life-once at best. This card will still have all that and potentially have already killed something and gained you life. If you've got one in the grave, it is essentially better than two Vizkopas.
It's probably op but I was making it and just realised I'm late so I'll take a look at it later lmao
What Lineage does is in the comments because it didn't fit on the card where I placed it.
Linger (If this creature would die, exile it instead. Then
return it to the battlefield under your control as an Aura
with enchant creature or artifact attached to target
creature or artifact.)
As with Theros' bestow, the loss of other types is implied.
Accursed Witch reminded me to specify control.
Estrid, the Masked and other cards that make Auras or become Auras always specify the "enchant" abilities.
There are other reasons as well, but I think this covers all the bases while only adding one word to the length.
Also, enjoy dervish.
